Custom Wedding & Special Occasion Cakes

When should I order my cake? For Special Occasion Cakes we suggest you order your cake at least 2 weeks in advance. For Wedding Cakes we suggest you order your cake at least 2 months in advance.

Do you offer tastings? Yes, tastings are offered for Weddings and are held at the time of your Wedding consultation.  When you call to schedule your consultation, you may choose 2 cake flavors and 2 fillings for your tasting. Buttercream icing and fondant will also be provided.

Do you provide fresh flowers to decorate my cake? There are two options for this. Amy Cakes can refer you to local flower growers who can provide you with flowers that are not only beautiful, but food safe and even edible. Or, you may order flowers from your florist to be delivered along with your Wedding flowers and we will be happy to place them on your cake at the location of your event.

Doesn't fondant taste bad? There are brands of fondant that aren't very appetizing, but we make our own fondant out of marshmallow and find it to be quite good. Feel free to ask for a sample to taste. Fondant allows for a wonderfully smooth canvas and is actually necessary to achieve some cake designs.  Keep in mind that there is always buttercream under the fondant.

Can we have more than one flavor in our cake? Yes! Feel free to choose any combination of cake and fillings from our list of flavors.  The possibilities are endless!

Do you deliver? Delivery is free for all wedding and tiered cakes (3 or more tiers) within a 30 mile radius of  Lake Geneva, WI.   Cakes will only  be delivered to wedding and banquet facilities as well as public party venues within this range.  You may pick up your cake at our bakery during normal business hours. You can find these hours on our home page.  Due to the fragile nature of tiered, sculptured and custom cakes, pick up is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage once the cake has left our possession.

Are you licensed? Yes.  Our cakes are produced in a licensed bakery. Amy Cakes is licensed by the WI Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Division of Food Safety.  Our kitchen has passed all of the necessary inspections required of this license.
